We know how Galileo went blind and was imprisoned for publishing his heretical science. What is little known is the meeting he had with John Milton which resulted in a similar fate for the bright young poet. Espousing revolutionary change arguably as a result of meeting Galileo, he fell from a high place to the hell of Death Row and blindness before he could publish his masterpiece Paradise Lost.
